The Collection

Amera shared photographs from four different places of refuge with varying degrees of quality of life throughout her journey of displacement. When ISIS struck in 2014 she was forced to leave her home in Sinjar and move to a tent in camp Bersive in Zakho. This was followed by a metal cabin in camp Rwanga in Duhok for five years before returning to a different house in Sinjar as one of the first families to return after the genocide.
